OUR STORY
The Grounded Motion was born from a deep passion for movement, health, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Its founder, Rafael Claveau, is a seasoned personal trainer with a wealth of experience, not just in fitness, but in sports, media, and coaching. His journey has taken him through years of playing and coaching American football, experiencing different cultures and lifestyles around the world, and working closely with athletes to help them optimize their physical performance.
Rafael’s background in sports, particularly his 15+ years in the French first division of American football and his international coaching experience in Auckland, New Zealand, gave him a unique perspective on what it takes to achieve peak performance, not only physically but mentally as well. His love for fitness and wellness expanded over time, as he realized that true strength and well-being come from mastering balance, mobility, and a holistic approach to movement.
With this in mind, Rafael created The Grounded Motion as a space dedicated to helping people move better, teach better, and live healthier lives. Whether working with athletes, personal training clients, or budding trainers, Rafael’s mission is clear: to foster a community where everyone, from beginners to seasoned professionals, can improve their foundation of movement and build lasting, functional strength.
